Mönig in the freight network:
two partnerships, one contact person
Mönig in the freight network:
two
partnerships, one contact person
When a shipment requires more vehicles at short notice than your own fleet can provide, that moment determines whether a load arrives reliably. Mönig does not stand alone: as a member of the Transcoop09 freight network and the LogCoop logistics network, we draw on additional vehicles, trailers, and warehouse space across Europe when needed. You do not need a second contact person: you continue to speak with the same dispatch office in Meschede; in the background, the network provides the additional capacity.
Why a freight network matters to you as a customer
A family business expected to cover volume peaks alone will eventually reach its limits, for instance when three additional trucks are needed at short notice for a special transport. That is precisely why we already work with the Transcoop09 partner network for our special and oversized transports today, rather than sourcing capacity on the open market. This is not an isolated case in the industry: according to the German Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association, the market structure of large parts of the German freight forwarding sector is shaped by mid-sized partnerships, because they give smaller operators access to capacities that otherwise only large corporate logistics providers can handle. That is exactly why Mönig has joined two networks rather than relying solely on its own fleet. How Mönig is positioned overall is shown on the About us page.
Transcoop09: load exchange and cargo space across Europe
LogCoop: warehouse network and transport solutions in Europe
In addition to Transcoop09, Mönig also belongs to LogCoop, a logistics network headquartered in Düsseldorf since 2013. The associated warehouse network, founded in January 2016, pools more than 4 million square meters of warehouse space at around 400 locations in eleven European countries; in total, over 180 freight forwarders and logistics service providers are active in the association. Mönig is listed at the Meschede location (see location overview). This European reach complements our own international transport solutions outside Europe. For you, this means: even outside our own service area, we organize additional warehouse and transport capacity at short notice via LogCoop, coordinated through the same contact person at Mönig.
Frequently asked questions about the partnerships
Does my contact person change because of the partnerships?
No. Your shipment continues to run through the same dispatch office at Mönig; the partnerships with Transcoop09 and LogCoop operate in the background. We use the networks to organize additional vehicles or warehouse space when our own fleet or warehouse is not sufficient. You still receive feedback, a quote, and a contact person, regardless of which network is involved in the background.
What do the partnerships mean specifically for my shipment?
Specifically, this means: vehicles and trailers available at short notice via Transcoop09, additional warehouse space across Europe via LogCoop, both without additional coordination effort on your part. Instead of contacting several external freight forwarders individually, we arrange capacity internally through our network partners and get back to you with a binding solution.
